Hi, I’m Sarah (Carbonaro) Evans

“Pa” — my grandpa — was always the photographer in our family. He traveled the world with my grandma, and whenever he came home, he’d sit us down and show slideshow after slideshow from his trips — story after story told through photos.

I learned early on that pictures weren’t just pictures. They were memories. Proof of adventure. Proof of a life well lived.

When I was 16, he gave me my first “pro” camera. I immediately started photographing everything — my friends, my cat, the light in my room at golden hour. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was trying to do what he had always done: hold onto moments.

I am a multidisciplinary creative working across photography, writing, painting, and modeling. At the heart of my work is a love for creating, capturing moments, telling stories, painting, and bringing concepts to life.

I offer freelance photography services with a focus on portraits, couples, lifestyle, and pet sessions that feel authentic and intentional. My multidisciplinary work also includes writing, painting, and commercial and lifestyle modeling, informed by creative collaborations across nonprofits, higher education, wellness, pharmaceutical brands, and rock bands.
